Introduction to LEAD – modified introduction and summary of contents

  1. The LEAD programme (Local Energy Advice Demonstrator) is led by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, working in partnership with the South West Net Zero Hub. This project is one of six funded across the South West and will run for two years. The £1.4m project aims to design and test new methods of retrofit advice delivery across the South West regionThe project will support individuals with housing retrofit to improve energy efficiency resulting in lower bills, reduced emissions and improved occupant health and wellbeingCentral to this project will be a focus on how best to conduct in-person retrofit advice visits in people’s homes, with high quality resources, advisor training and follow on support services all contributing to the solution. 

  1. This Code of Conduct is central to achieving the above ambition, and its aim is to guide and support the LEAD community energy organisations and their partners to deliver the LEAD project; and form the basis of our retrofit advice and support to delivery post LEAD.
