Proving competence

This guidance document should be followed in relation to  every type of work and every trade and service offered by each organisation in the Consortium.  This should be in addition to compliance with any relevant technical and professional standards .

Below is an example checklist for knowing your staff and sub-contractors are doing a good job:

  • Do they understand what their role involves?

  • Are they experienced?

  • Do they have the right skills and know-how

  • How up to date is their knowledge?

  • What about new people you might take on?

  • Have you seen their previous work

  • Have you checked their qualifications or training?

  • Do you keep all this information safely on file?

Staff within each organisation

In the context of LEAD visits specifically, the Training Spreadsheet described in the Training Matrix section of this guidance document offers a platform to record and demonstrate the skills and knowledge of the Retrofit Advisors

Managing sub-contractorsPhase 2 primarily
