Training Matrix
Retrofit Advisors (RAds) will be expected to log their training in a manor which is similar to the example provided below.

- this log is a living document that should be populated with new courses as and when appropriate.
- It should also be monitored and kept up-to-date by the respective organisations of the LEAD consortium.

Pathways:
In order to demonstrate the required level of knowledge and expertise for their roles, Retrofit Advisors will need to meet the pre-requisites in accordance with either of the 3 separate pathways below:

- Minimum Requirements (mandatory):
- City and Guilds Level 3 in Energy Awareness
- Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings Level 3 Award
- new Retrofit Advisors are expected to shadow experienced advisors for a minimum number of 5 visits.
- existing Retrofit Advisors must keep their knowledge current through CPD (workshops, new courses, etc…) to be logged in the Training Matrix.
- Direct
route:route:- Level 3 Certificate for Retrofit Advisors as and when this course becomes available.
- Nice to have:
- there seems to be a consensus amongst RAds that the Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessment (DEA) training would be very valuable.
- In a similar vein, Level 4 Domestic Retrofit Assessment and Level 5 in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management should also more than adequately provide a good level of knowledge.
